W. Tyler Steers
FNP-C, ABAAHP, APRN
Tyler is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for functional medicine, hormone optimization, and whole-body health. With nearly a decade of experience in psychology and mental health prior to earning his advanced nursing degree from Gonzaga University, Tyler brings a unique and well-rounded perspective to patient care.
His approach focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of symptoms rather than simply managing them. Tyler recognizes that many common health concerns—such as fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, hormone imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, gut issues, and metabolic conditions like type II diabetes—are often interconnected. By taking a comprehensive, systems-based approach, he develops personalized treatment plans designed to restore balance and support long-term healing.
At Trillium Functional Medicine, Tyler combines evidence-based medical care with functional and natural approaches, including targeted lab testing, nutrition, lifestyle interventions, and when appropriate, medication management. His goal is to help patients optimize their health, improve quality of life, and, when possible, reduce reliance on medications.
A proud Idaho native, Tyler is passionate about empowering patients to take an active role in their health. He works best with individuals who are motivated for change and committed to a deeper, more proactive approach to wellness.
With a compassionate, results-driven mindset, Tyler is committed to guiding each patient toward lasting health, balance, and a more vibrant life.
